Organization JSON-LD

Enter a name to generate the markup.

Paste it into the page's <head> or body. Then test the live page with the schema validator.

Which type to use

An AI-readiness audit, check by check · illustrative
  • Organization — for your homepage or about page. It states who publishes the site: legal name, logo, contact details and, most usefully, sameAs links to your official profiles, which connect your site to the same entity elsewhere on the web.
  • Local business — for businesses with a physical location customers visit. Choose the most specific subtype (Dentist, Restaurant, LegalService…), and include the full address, phone and opening hours exactly as they appear on the page and your Google Business Profile.
  • Product — for individual product pages. Google requires a name and at least one of offers, review or aggregateRating; price, currency and availability make it eligible for richer results.

Rules that keep markup valid

Structured data must describe what's visible on the page. Don't add a rating that isn't shown, hours that differ from the page, or a price you don't charge — Google treats mismatches as spam and can ignore the markup or apply a manual action. Use absolute URLs for logos and images, ISO codes for countries and currencies, and 24-hour time for opening hours.

One Organization block per site is enough, usually on the homepage. A LocalBusiness with several branches should have one block per location page. After publishing, run the page through the schema validator to confirm every required field is present.

Why schema matters for AI answers

AI engines have to decide which entity a page is about before they can say anything about it. Markup that names your organization, links it to your profiles and states facts like address, price and availability in a fixed format removes guesswork from that step. It doesn't guarantee a mention, but it makes the facts an engine repeats about you more likely to be the right ones. Questions

Where do I paste the JSON-LD?+

Anywhere in the page's HTML — Google reads JSON-LD in the head or the body. Most CMSs have a field for custom head code, or a plugin that outputs it. Make sure it's in the server-rendered HTML, not injected only by client-side JavaScript.

What is a local business schema generator for?+

It produces LocalBusiness markup — name, address, phone, geo coordinates, opening hours — so search engines and AI assistants can answer questions like opening times or location from a trusted, structured source on your own site.

Should I add aggregateRating to my product?+

Only if the page shows those reviews to visitors and they come from real customers. Google's guidelines say ratings in markup must be visible on the page; ratings visitors can't see risk being ignored or treated as spam.

Can I combine several types on one page?+

Yes. You can add several script blocks, or one block with an @graph array. A product page might carry Product and BreadcrumbList; a homepage Organization and WebSite.
